Hey! what's up?

My name is Brian and I am a web and graphic designer living and working in south-eastern Michigan. From a very young age, I've had a love for the arts and anything creative. Early on I started out by producing various forms of fine art ranging from pencil drawings, charcoal, and paintings. I also began an interest in music about the same time. I began learning piano at age 7 and a few years later I began playing the drums. As time went on, I eventually discovered the world of computer graphics and multimedia. It seemed only natural to use computers and software to combine my love of both music and visual art, and I have been completely infatuated ever since. I received an associates degree in Computer Graphics Technology from Schoolcraft College, but I'm nowhere near done expanding on my knowledge and feeding my passion for design, it is very much a life-long devotion for me.

My current focus is on web design, specializing mostly in front-end development and user interface design using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, After Effects, XHTML, CSS, etc. I am also experienced in print design, illustration, animation, and video/motion graphics. I am currently doing all of the design work myself for each project, but I welcome the opportunity to work and collaborate with other designers/freelancers. I consider each and every project to be a great honor and privilege and I love the variety of projects that have come my way. I really get excited seeing clients get fired up about their project, and I love to help drive and fuel that passion while keeping things fun and energetic. I really love to create designs that capture and reflect the essence of each client's unique brand, personality and identity. I have a particular passion for working with Michigan-based companies and I love forming relationships with fellow Michigander businesses and individuals. I also work with many Christian organizations, non-profits, and churches.

When not working I enjoy spending time with my wife Sarah, baby Daughter Kate, and dog Wesley. A few of my hobbies include keeping a saltwater reef tank, landscaping/gardening, jam sessions, mountain biking, camping, and photography. Most of the time, however, I can be found cruising the web looking at other design work, doing some tutorials, or tweeting about some free photoshop brushes or icons that I found. In other words, I'm a big geek in denial.
